Krygina Cosmetics Makeup Brushes
As part of my work for Krygina Cosmetics, I shot a set of makeup brushes. The project called for me to capture promotional images of the entire brush set, as well as individual brush photos for product cards.
To give the images a unique twist, the client requested a non-traditional approach to photographing the brushes. Instead of arranging them in a conventional way (such as a fan or scattered around the shot), I was challenged to create an overall monumental image that would still showcase the lengths of the brushes.
To offer potential buyers the most thorough understanding of the product, I created photo, showcasing brushes in intricate detail — up close, in the hand, and in practical use. I added a touch of originality to the product cards by capturing unique reflections in the brush ferrule, which made the photos truly stand out from others.
I also made photos for an additional advertising campaign At your fingertips, best for make up. This is a provocative advertising campaign that does not demonstrate the brush and its application, but demonstrate how brushes perform actions for which they are not meant — brushes are used to rewind cassette tapes, in order to get batteries from the remote control or as a bookmark for a book. We wanted to emphasize versatility in an ironic manner — the main principle of the brand. And also to hint that these brushes are used so often that they are always at hand and the hand itself reaches out to them when you need a tool.
In addition to these photos, I also shot a sales launch teaser that was printed in large format and hung on the wall in the owner's office. It shows how the appearance of brushes evolves with frequent use, and how things that are made to last take on a unique look. Things that last often and last well - they may age, but they age beautifully.
